Your personal information will only be used for us to be able to fulfil our obligations to you. North Eco Store collects certain information about your hardware and software. This information is used to operate the service, maintain the quality of the service and provide general statistics for the use of  www.northecostore.com.

North Eco Store.com also collects information about which pages customers visit at  www.northecostore.com. This page visit data is only identified by a unique ID number and is not linked to personal information.

How do we use your personal information?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).  Additionally, we use this order Information to:

  • Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
  • When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

 If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

 Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfil contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above.  Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Data retention

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.

Processing of personal data is necessary for us to be able to fulfil our contractual obligations and serve you as a customer. Personal data can also be used for the following purposes: Sales, contact with customer service, marketing, information, bookkeeping.                                                        

Communication through email and SMS

As a customer, you will be able to receive e-mails and text messages. For example, we will send you email / SMS related to orders you have placed, SMS with tracking number, forgotten password, information about your customer account, etc. This is defined as a legitimate interest and consent will not be sought.

We also use e-mail for marketing and communication. As a customer, you will regularly receive newsletters as long as you have given your active consent to it. It is possible to unsubscribe from newsletters by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails.                                  

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is used for traffic analysis. IP addresses and visitor patterns are stored. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyse traffic.

Vipps

If you pay with Vipps in the online store, your telephone number will be sent to Vipps for further identification. 

Klarna 

If you pay with Klarna in the online store, personal information such as e-mail, name, address, social security number will be shared with Klarna for credit. When our store solutions are used together with Klarna Checkout, cookies are set from Klarna. More information at https://www.klarna.com/no/cookies/.

Mailchimp

Mailchimp is used for email marketing or sending out newsletters. Your name and email can be shared with Mailchimp.

Bring

We send packages with Bring and thus share information related to shipping such as name, telephone number and address.

Postnord

We send packages with Postnord and thus share information related to shipping such as name, telephone number and address.

Consent to the use of cookies

In accordance to Norwegian law, you have automatically agreed that we store cookies. 

We use cookies, among other things, to remember your login, password in encrypted form, to improve the user experience and as part of our marketing to new customers. When you visit our services, we set both temporary and permanent cookies. A temporary cookie is often deleted automatically when you close your browser, while it can stay on your computer for up to a year.

Insight and correction
